Summary of Job Responsibilities:

Involves a wide range of duties related to DDA and SAV accounts including overdraft decisions. Duties may include additional daily operational tasks assigned by the Supervisor. Accountable to complying with all Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations, bank policies and procedures.


Essential Job Duties:

  1. Review all NSF accounts for overdraft decisions through the NSF online system.
  2. Process manual charge backs and ACH returns to complete the outgoing Fed Return through the Chargeback online system.
  3. Process Auto Dealer Draft deposits.
  4. Processing of the Fed Return Items.
  5. Process and research Death Notifications received through the ACH network.
  6. Check Protect Qualifications and maintenance when customers have signed up for service.
  7. Daily reconciling of Wire and ACH accounts.
  8. Daily Review of Positive Pay Report and handling of any returns that need processed.
  9. Processing of the DDA & SAV Unpostable Report through Image EIP online system.
  10. Review of all Large Item DDA and SAV debits over $10,000 for proper endorsement.
  11. Process file maintenance on accounts: change of addresses, do not mails, closing accounts, name changes, etc.
  12. Assist with processing Fed Adjustments and teller error corrections.
  13. Process closeouts for accounts that are being charged off.
  14. Process IRA and HSA file maintenance and review.
  15. Review of DDA & SAV file maintenance reports.
  16. Assist with Electronic Operations, Loan Operations, and Fraud Area tasks when needed.
  17. Handle telephone inquiries from customers and personnel from other departments.
  18. Responsible for keeping adequate supplies on had to perform duties.
  19. Responsible for retention, filing and purging records concerning performed duties.
  20. May be required to attend educational training/seminars (in and out of state).
  21. Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  1. The ability to communicate, speak clearly, and demonstrate the personal skills necessary to represent the bank in dealing with customer/personnel telephone inquiries.
  2. Speak, read, and write English and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
  3. The ability to recognize irregular or suspicious transactions and take appropriate steps to prevent loss.
  4. Mental/visual skills to work with various computer software products effectively and efficiently.
  5. The ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  6. The ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently.
  7. The ability to proficiently operate a calculator and computers.
  8. The ability to organize and perform assigned duties within a timely manner.

Minimum Level of Performance or Training Normally Required:

  1. A high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of work history in a business environment.
  3. Must have moderate computer skills.
  4. Familiar with writing procedures using an online format preferred.
  5. Core knowledge preferred (NuPoint, CenterDoc, CRM, Center View)
  6. Keyboarding and Microsoft Office preferred.
  7. Previous employment with a financial institution preferred.

Working Conditions:

  1. Minimum discomfort from noise, heat, dust and other causes.
  2. Required to stand or sit for long periods of time while performing various department duties.
